Welcome to The Keepsake Company — This Is Why We Started

Some memories hit differently. The ones that don't fade with the tan lines or wash out with the holiday laundry — the ones that sit quietly with you for years. A ride you queued two hours for. A film that felt like it was made specifically for you. A song you heard at exactly the right moment. Those memories deserve more than a fridge magnet.

That's the idea behind The Keepsake Company.

Where This All Started

We started out as a small creative studio — two people, a sketchbook, and a shared obsession with the kind of places that make grown adults feel like children again. Theme parks. Cinemas. Record shops. Anywhere that trades in imagination.

The problem we kept running into was simple: if you wanted to take a piece of that experience home with you, your options were either a generic logo on a cheap shirt, or a licensed character product that felt more like merch than a memory. Neither felt right.

So we started drawing our own versions. Original illustrations inspired by the feeling of those places — the atmosphere, the lore, the little details that only true fans notice. We printed them on garments we'd actually want to wear. And we sent them to friends.

The response was pretty immediate. People got it straight away.

What "Made to Order" Actually Means

We don't hold stock. Every single piece we sell is made at the point of your order — your design, your size, your garment. This means a few things worth knowing:

It takes a little longer than next-day delivery from a warehouse. We're honest about that. But it also means nothing sits unsold in a box, nothing gets discounted into landfill, and every item that leaves us was made specifically for the person who ordered it.

We think that matters. Fast fashion has made us all a bit numb to how clothes are actually made. We wanted to do the opposite — slow it down, make it intentional, treat each order like it's the only one.

The Art Comes First

Every design starts with a pencil. Our illustrator (who has an unhealthy knowledge of theme park history and an even unhealthier affection for expedition-themed dark rides) sketches each piece from scratch. No AI, no stock art, no tracing. The ideas come from real visits, real memories, real notebooks full of observations.

We take inspiration from the visual language of vintage expedition clubs, National Parks Service posters, field research teams, and the kind of mythic storytelling that the best theme park attractions have always done so well. Then we translate that into something you can wear without looking like you raided a gift shop on the way out.

A Thank-You Note in Every Box

This one's small but it matters to us. Every order that leaves our studio includes a handwritten thank-you note. Not a printed card with a signature font — an actual note. Because you chose us, and we don't take that lightly.

It's a small gesture, but it's the kind of thing we'd want if we were the customer. Which, actually, we are. We wear our own designs constantly. We are the target market. That's either reassuring or slightly worrying depending on how you look at it.

What's Coming

Right now we're focused on theme park-inspired collections — specifically the world of expedition and adventure-themed rides that have given us so much over the years. But we have plans for more worlds: films, music, the kind of cult-classic corners of culture that don't get enough love.

If you've found us, you probably know what we're about already. Stick around. This is just the start.
